51 Shakti Peethas

According to Hindu mythology, Shakti Peetha is born wherever Sati’s body parts, clothes and accessories fall.They are distributed throughout the Indian subcontinent. Devi Purānā ir 51 Shakti Peethas. Devi Bhagavad foreslog 108 Peeths un Devi Gita foreslog 72 Shakti Peeths, mens Tntrcudamani foreslog 52 Shakti Peeths. Devi Purana definitely talked about 51 Peethas. Some are of these Petes. Currently, India has 42, Pakistan has 1, Bangladesh has 4, Sri Lanka has 1, Tibet has 1 and Nepal has 2 Shakti Peethas.
